1973 or 2008?

At 2 1/2 years of age, Miles is looking like a chip off the ol' block. A couple of Marcy's students even thought this pic of Vince was Miles. Silly children, Vince had way more hair than Miles does!

Che Caruso is off to Vegas!

So we're leaving in just a few minutes for Vegas. Miles is staying with Grandma and Grandpa Hewitt so that we can enjoy a few days of relaxation and a little bit of sunshine. He was very excited that he gets to go on a trip just like mommy and daddy.

Thought we'd share a funny picture with you....over the last couple years, Vince's students have made a tradtion of creating a new band t-shirt for any of the students who want to wear them. (This is how approximately 40 kids ended up wandering around Disneyland a few years ago with shirts that declared: Mr. Caruso is my hero.)

Below is the design that students created and voted on for this year's shirt. Ah, the creativity of our youth! Needless to say that the administration was not too keen on it (so it's back to the drawing board for a new design), but we still thought it was worth sharing. Hope you enjoy!

Growing up so quickly!

We keep noticing how much of a "little boy" Miles is becoming these days. He's growing up so quickly! (The experienced parents in the crowd can now knowingly exclaim, "We told you it would be like this!")

Looking at his Easter pictures from 2006, 2007, and 2008 sure puts it in perspective.

A big night out for Miles

You are free to mock us for the following statement: We took Miles to a Wiggles concert on Friday night. (Don't worry, we have made fun of ourselves already!) It actually made for a fun family event and Miles loved seeing his beloved Wiggles in person. Although he did burst into tears at one point when a giant inflatable character appeared on stage because he thought it was a monster. Fortunately, he was fine after we calmed him down and he was able to enjoy the rest of the show.

Fun in the backyard

The last several posts have all involved Miles playing the drums so we thought it was time to share some of his other interests.

Miles absolutely LOVES to be outside and Lightning McQueen goes everywhere with us these days. Also, you'll hear him saying "I want to see, Mommy" at the end of the clip...he always wants to see himself on the video camera as soon as we've taken any footage. (He seems overly aware of the camera whenever we have it out which has made it difficult to capture him just being himself.)

Oh well. If the drumming thing doesn't work out, perhaps he'll have a career in film.

Hope you enjoy!
